SOX finally pays up!!!
I finally received my money from SOX $655. I waited a few days to make sure the check was good to post this. I guess all my ranting and raving, the BBB. Guess what, Brandy had the nerve to tell me that SOX would not be using me anymore....To Brandy, SOX is no big loss since SOX is a slow pay/no pay SS. I can use less of SOX and more of those who pay promptly for work done. I am now making more money due to the fact I don't have to deal with SOX. I used to turn down signings because of my previous commitment to SOX, now with them out I can now focus on my signings and on time payments.

I am so happy for you. I have tried to hold off with BBB but that may be what I need to do to get paid. It seems like that is what is working for everyone that has been paid. Have a great weekend.

I got my check too. Waited 7 months for $67.50 for a VA double loan, one of my first signings.

I wonder????????
Could it be that sox can't find anymore notaries to cheat? Could they have decided to pay up and fly right so they can be a "good" ss? Dreams are nice, but, Somebody pinch me, I need to wake up now...

Please do not tell me you completed a 1st and 2nd (I’m assuming double as a 1st and 2nd) for this amount. NO signing service can justify paying that amount...even if it is for one trying to gain experience.

I'm a new notary and they called me. Thanks to this board, I said, "No!" It felt so good!

Read this quote from new banking rules check21
This is regarding clearence of checks and deposits. Now days checks can clear withing hours of depositing to the bank.
1. It's more important than ever to avoid bouncing checks. A check deposited in a bank generally travels by airplane and truck until it reaches the paying bank, typically about one or two days later. As a result of Check 21, more checks will be processed electronically... and faster. That means you need to have enough money in your account when you write a check or run the risk of having checks bounce.
While it's always our advice to have enough money in your account before you write a check, we realize that some people don't always do that – they'll write a check on the 28th of the month expecting their paycheck to be deposited on the 30th of the month, just in time to cover that check. "But if the checks clear sooner as a result of Check 21," says William Henley, Jr., an FDIC electronic banking specialist, "there is a greater risk that a check will bounce if sufficient funds are not in your account when the check is written."

Interesting, actually having the money before you spend it. I saw an SNL commercial on this one time.
Thank you for that information, I like to keep up on financial news.
