I have 2 invoices and they refuse to pay. I have talked to their AZ office and still no response. The invoices go back to Jan '07 & I would not work for them again.

Re: Here is what I want to do, your input please - or +
I accepted the Ameridocs loan overnight docs, I now know that they don't pay so here is what I want to do. After receiving the loan docs tomorrow I will call title and tell them I have the docs for their BO, however I researched the SS and they don't pay, I will return the docs to them or I can send them a pay pal invoice that they can pay my fee up front and I will go to the BO's for the signing. What do ya all think? Is that holding the docs for ransom?
I accepted the signing before I did my research, shame on me.

If they don't agree to send you payment ahead of time via PayPal, you can offer to drop the docs at the borrower's home. Since you have already accepted the signing, the borrower should not have to suffer for that. Or Ameridocs can find a new notary and that person can pick-up docs from you. I'm not sure about the PayPal avenue - they could always dispute the transaction.
If it were me, I think I would notify Ameridocs that I am declining the signing due to their non-payment practices and will be dropping the docs at the borrower's home upon receipt from the shipping company. Since you initially accepted the signing, I think you owe it to the borrowers to at least get their docs to them (hopefully they live fairly close). Take care of that and be done with it.

Essentially you agreed to do a job, you established a contract, and are therefore obligated. Learn from your mistakes. Although you have my sympathy that we even have to worry about non payers or slow payers especially when you think how much professionalism is expected from our end.
Better Luck next time
