Beware of DocuServ USA!!

They haven't paid me for a closing I did in October through Ticor Title. They are giving me one excuse after another which includes their struggling financial statements. I went out of my way for them after they called me for a 9:00 pm last minute edoc closing (after I was already in my PJ's) and this is how they treat their signing agents.

I parted with them in Feb. and received payment today for balance due on signings done in Dec & Jan.

I guess the best you could do (like I did) is to invoice them and wait b/c I didn't know they wanted an invoice until I re-read their email instructions.

I know their policy is to pay us 30 days from date of signing. The last signing that I did for them they didn't pay me for 2 months (I think they have a new bookkeeper). I've never had a problem with them until this last signing that I did for them in November, 2006 and didn't get paid till the end of February. I kept calling them and they finally paid. I've done signings for them for over 4 years and I'm done with them!!

Yes, I wholly agree NOT to do business with that arrogant Johnny Antonelli and his confused bookkeepers. They have refuse to own up to my written confirmation fee from them of only $50 for a signing I did way back on 5-31-06!

I even contacted Sandy Adams at Ticor Title but she keeps referring me back to them WITH NO SATISFACTION.

They also have a "take no blame" attitude. I'm SICK of them!!!! They suck!

You got that right! Johnnie is VERY arrogant and he is trying to say I can't get paid because Ticor said the notary did not do the closing right so they had to send someone else out. I have a hard time believing this because no one ever called me to tell me I did something wrong. Since when does a SS or title company hesitate to call if there are problems. Johnnie is an out right liar and very unethical. I did the closing back in October and here it is April and he is finding every excuse not to pay.

Johnny and Brett are you out there? The 2 owners of Docuserv USA are quite the pair. I have accepted many signings from them for quite some time as a loan signing agent. They have always been fair and have paid for my service. This last year they have been sooooo slow in paying. But I still got paid. Until.....recently I have had a couple of loans that did not close. Oh the borrowers signed, but must have rescinded after I sent the docs back. No one ever said I was not getting paid! I kept invoicing (for 4 months) and calling to get payment, when finally Brett calls me and asks me to take half my fee as No One is getting paid, not the Loan officer, and not him! He will pay me out of his own pocket if I will accept half my fee. Never mind that I printed the 2 sets and showed up and spent 1.5 hours with the borrower. OK, I say, this time I will do it. Great, all is good. 2 weeks later I get a check from Docuserv for that signing. In the mean time I accept other jobs. About a month after the 1st 1/2 fee request, I get a call from Brett, again asking me to take 1/2 fee for 2 other signings I did where the loan did not go through. WHAT? Is this starting to become a habit. I was not accepting this again. I told Brett I would take 2/3rds and no less. Yes I understood his problem but that he needed to let his clients know that the Notarys do not work for free. That he needs to collect the fee upfront in that case or have the client and borrowers know that they are responsible for the Notary fee whether the loan happens or not! Now they are upset by my standards and will not call me to work for them anymore. Thank Goodness I have other clients out here who DO PAY and pay a fair fee for my services. I am not trying to gouge anyone, just get paid a standard reasonable fee for my service.
