First time posting

First time poster, but I have been reading the board for about a year now. I have learned a considerable amount from all of you and it's appreciated greatly. I have a question. I got a call from a SS this PM for a signing about 7 miles from home. O/N Docs single refi for BO in Isleton, CA. They only wanted to pay $60, of course I told them my base fee was $85 for O/N docs. They had to get that approved and would call back. Of course I never heard back from them. I was just curious to see who actually took the signing. It may be no one from here. Just curious.
Thanks,
Deborah

Re: Search your zip here ....

I have done that many times. I am familiar with a lot of the notaries in my area and I'm quite sure they would not take this low fee. Last time I got a call for O/N docs they did call me back and accept my fee, probably lower than the others offered.

You have to remember that it's possible you were the 4th or 5th person called, so if everyone said they needed more $ then maybe the SS just went with one of the others at a similar price that you quoted...maybe the job did end up paying that much, but just didn't go to you. Chances are some desperate newbie took it, but there certainly are alternate scenarios.
