I introduced a 13 yr old girl to Janis today. We printed up the chords and lyrics for her version of "Summertime". You know 13 yr old girls..they have the blues a lot.

Good morning Teddy:

I get to hear Janis a lot on XM channel 15 (The Village) along with such other forgottens as the Weavers, Pete Seeger, Glen Yarbrough, Bob Dylan and many others as well as some new "folkies". Folk music is hardly dead, it just kind of simmers underground. I have been a member of Folk Alliance (North American Folk Music and Dance Alliance) for many years. I also enjoy XM's "Top Tracks" channel (46) which plays a lot of the "real" rock and roll Wink.

Anyone catch Janis on Biography today? Mama Cass too.

Two of my favorite Women in History.

Thanks for another great show, Stamper...I nominate you for Video Entertainment Queen. "Doc" get All-time Lyrics King crown.
