I just renewed my membership with NR

but it's not because of the crap that I read and the childish behavior on this site...like the past few days. I do actually get a lot of business form Title, SS and lenders from this site. I would be ashamed to have my clients or customers read some of the crap that gets discussed here. What happened to the good old days when someone would ask a question and get an answer without getting their a$$ chewed? Harry must feel like a babysitter. He's provided notaries with a professional site but there are too many "old timers" that are rude to the new notaries braking into the business. As with any business venture...only the strong survive and I'm still here!

I get several phone calls a month from this site. I pay to play and I kindof like it here.
Then again, that's my opinion and might not mean much to everyone but I like to think
I am important to somebody. Frown

Charles Ca

A couple of years ago I had respect for you. As fellow realtor I figured you abided by the same code of ethics in real estate as I do....but you no longer seem to have that professional standard. Why are you stooping so low as to slamming people on this website?

That's known as a red herring MB. Now lets analyze that

statement. Please tell me specifically the section and paragraph of the Realtor Code of Ethics I have violated: youre the one who made the statement. All I see is some disembodied intials you may or may not be a licensee, you may or may not be successful, yo may or may not have ever sold anything. In fact your may or may not be anything you say since for all practical purposes anonymous. I am a member of professional standards comittees of two seperate Boards of Realtors and I frequently sit on panels deciding both violations of the Realtor Code of Ethics and mediate disputes as stipulated by the membership agreements of the Baords of Realtors. I have no idea what you have accomplished and your word is meanngless becasue you don't really exist on this board as a person you are only some initials. I am not slamming anyone on this website. It is others who are coming here to cause a disturbance and I am merely stating things as I see them. I am offering my OPINION and others are trying to stifle my right to free speech which I am exercising. Much like you are trying to stifle my opinon by your misrepresentation of the Realtor Code of Ethics. I have not lost my temper and I have not used any obscenities, which is much more than I can say for a lot who have posted recently. I stay on topic and I have cogent reasons for what I say. So if you have lost respect for me it matters little since I've never had any for you!

Loretta...

I agree with you. I like this forum as well.

Just like today, I posted my word processor question and two people gave me answers.

The day I don't like the forum is the day I stop reading it. This forum is an add on to the membership listing we have in the NR database. It's a freebie. So's Go Live/Chat feature. So's the PM feature.

It's here if you want to read. It disappears if you don't tune in.

I'd lay you odds that there are hundreds of daily lurkers who just want to check the companies out based on forum posts. It's a great resource and I have been very grateful for it.

Re: Loretta...

I agree, Brenda. What I do not understand is why do people post on here when they don't like the site or the people that post here. Just can't figure some people out.

If they are don't like it, why come around. Nevermind, answered my question myself. They must not have enough work and just want to make everyone else miserable.

Smile

My opinion FWIW...

There is excellent advice in this forum, and many "Professional Notaries" who are willing to participate.
I, for one, am more than willing to help someone as long as they are (and remain) professional. I don't respond to the crap (as you put it), and it really doesn't interest me.

I get many calls from this site and I also refer clients to the Find a Notary when I am unable to honor their request. They are very appreciative.

Any gossip or garbage should be discussed off forum - through Private Mail or Go Live, then these pages wouldn't be filled with so much nonsense.

Can we just move on?

We're at the point where we're beating the greasy spot inside the chalk outline where the dead horse used to be...

Enough! Those who have issues with others should take them off-line - there's no reason or purpose for fighting your battles in a public forum. Doing so robs this site of its main purpose - to be a resource for professionals.

Take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard... let's get the forum back on track.

Here, Here Mike... and anyone that knows Loretta personally would know what an upstanding, hardworking, individual she is.... I just recently started reading the forum... some of it is garbage and should be emailed directly to the person... this forum isn't meant to attack individuals... do that on your own time!!! Love ya Loretta

Re: Can we just move on?

Yes Mike, I can move on. I have been reviewing this site for months. I have learned alot here. Bad behavior and lack of professionalism should be addressed immediately. It went down hill for me when a couple of folks were bagging on their clients. They talk of bad decisions and what type cars were bought or vacations taken with loan proceeds. They forgot they did benefit $$$ from the transactions. Frankly, this was none of their business. Save that type of talk for their countyclubs. These comments should have been deleted.

I pay to play here. I just upgraded a couple of weeks ago. I plan on sticking around. I will also continue to be a member of the other site as well. They offer diversity over there.

Who died and made you the thought police or the NotRot police?

In case you haven't noticed, this is not YOUR site. Someone else runs it and runs it differently than you would. Please, give it up!

It depends ..maybe yes...maybe no

Like President Useless Grant used to say, "Some are for it and some are against it and I'm with you."
