Loan Document Signing Service, Riverside, CA. after finally receiving payment for work done in Nov. '06, the check BOUNCED! This was a Reverse Mortgage too boot. SHAME ON YOU SHAWNA! DO NOT WORK FOR HER EVER......RUN. Now I'm out the bounced check fee, also.

This really sad...

to hear about so many bad companies. I think they will hurt the good ones because a lot of title companies are getting tired of hearing that we do the work and don't get paid so they are calling us directly which is fine with me. I always let the title company know when they are using a company that is dishonest and they always appreciate knowing(unless of course they happen to also own the SS)

I've done plenty of signings for this company and they do pay slow but I did get paid you just have to really stay on top of them , I think the owners name is Steve so contact him direct and bill them for the check fee also

Kevin,

A successful signing agent should not have to “stay on top” of a company in order to receive payment.

A successful signing agent does the work for a fair price, and receives payment within one to four weeks later....without begging, or even "staying on top".

I did a signing for 2 different title companies in February and just received checks today. Over 60 days and that's what I call said.

BP,

Nice theory.

But in real life it doesn't hold up.

All of us, successful or not, have to spend some time chasing payments.

That's just the way it is.

No, it's not a theory.

I am paid promptly and do not wait for payment past 30 days. How? because I don't jump on every call I receive.

If I want to do work for free, then I'll volunteer at the Mission.

I've been waiting a long time, too. Also, they tried to get me to sign an employment and non-compete contract in order to work with Omni Finance. No way, Jose.

Re: LDSS DELAYING JUDGMENT -- THEY SEEM LIKE GOOD FOLKS

I am only waiting 60 days so far. They seem to be nice people and easy to work with. No problem not signing Employment Agreement. Just can't do RM apps, which is fine with me. They are not worth it.

Anyone can talk nice. How about *acting* nice?

**They seem to be nice people and easy to work with.**

That's pretty much what folks said about Ted Bundy.

When I see notaries routinely waiting 60 days I figure the SA is floating their business finances on two months of income which should have been disbursed to the notary weeks before.

60 days turns in to 90 and then 120 faster and faster these days. Three years ago when I first worked for Title Stream they paid with 45. Then it was 60, then it was 90. Then it was 120. If you called them they'd send a check. They tried to play it off like they didn't get funded until the first of the month, then you had 30 days to wait. Bullship.

Ridiculous in this time of down turn to be placid about waiting 60 days on checks.

If you need that money, find another means to fill their slots...otherwise, call it charity and be happy to give to their bloated spending disability.

What about turning over the check to the County Prosecutor?

I know that we have an aggressive prosecutor here, and I have had good results in the past when assisting clients.

I haven't done the research to know whether you'd file it in your county or the SS's (I'm guessing it should be SS's), but you might check that out. Even the threat of doing same might get some action from the SS, especially if the individual who signed and/or the owner could be held liable.

Good luck!
