Last Day Has Become A Joke
Three Signings scheduled for today evening - 5.00 pm, 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm
NO DOCS yet for any signing. Last month - I was scheduled for 4 signings - and two were double booked. Let's see how many are double bkked this time.
Waiting on the PC for Docs to appear

I know what you are saying and I feel your pain - literally. As of yesterday morning, I had one tentative for today.
Then Nations Direct called; they did not call me back after I told them what my fee would be.
Today, after about a dozen phone calls, I finally nailed down my one assignment for the day.
Meanwhile, I have been offered signings from NotaryPro (too lowball on fees, too much hassle for even my usual fees; did not call back when I told them what my fees and availability would be), and 3 different signings at essentially the same time by one of my good clients (who shall remain nameless here - grins). The one of those I took fell apart once we actually got the LO involved -- he was as surprised as the borrower about it being scheduled for today, as he said the docs will not be ready until next week!
I have juggled as hard and fast as I could, talking with LOs, TCs, SSes, and borrowers, yet still wind up at the end of the day with one assignment for 9pm a county away. It has been a very roller-coaster-ride of a day, and while I do enjoy an occasional roller-coater, it sure would have been nice if the LOs and TCs and borrowers could get together and decide who is doing what at least 48 hours in advance so that we don't all have to scramble so hard at the last minute.
Oh well. At least I already have an assignment in my book for next month and I did not burn any bridges with anyone today (some days, it takes a major act of Masonic forbearance to avoid letting my passion get out of hand - grins!).

Yes, waiting on edocs for a 7:30 now- called borrower
called the borrower and she is cool...will be there when I get there.
Been running around the county like a maniac these past two weeks. Was on a call yesterday and someone tried to book me for Thursday- seemed shocked when I told them already have 4 that day and not comfortable trying to squeeze in another for that time period.
Friday- oddly enough is free and I hope to keep it clear. lol

I was already booked up! Some were calling with "you could do this one at 7 and then go down hwy X to botown and do another and then......" This is at 5:00 pm as I am driving to the 2 I am already doing that booked me days ago! One of them I have had at least 3 different companies call me on. Way the heck out there.

I batted 1/5
What a waste of a perfectly good EOM. All canceled before I arrived. Someone musta set the LO's down and made them produce this month. Except for today, I had an outstanding April.

Re: I batted 1/4, plus one general notarization
Big deal! The EOM is really getting to be a disappointment. Back in the day it was really something...I had requests that I turned down, b/c I was already booked and then, as usual had cancellation after cancellation. Then, I had a guy call at 8PM to see if I could do a closing at 10 for $75 email! lol (I'm not getting out of my jammies for that...sorry pal.)

I had 5 today...3 scheduled early in week...1 due to a notaries emergency...and 5 pm call for a PM closing. Everything went smooth...I even got all my docs on time. I had several calls for closings but was already booked.
But last EOM I have the cancellation blues.
I was thinking of telling TC & SSs that if you schedule a closing for last day to close for EOM funding or EOM and you cancel I will charge a scheduling fee. Maybe $50 What do you all think?

I was 5/5
The 2 that didn't go got replaced and I turned down 7 other calls. It was crazy for me.

Had 4 scheduled of which 2 were countrywides...they can't seem to get it together and e-docs never got here. Wanted me to print, copy and drive 30 miles one way at 10PM. Sorry, but I don't need business that bad. Ended up with 1 out of 4 going and one re-scheduled. For all the advertising countrywide does, you'd think they would be equipped to handle the load more efficiently.
