My Ultimark Stamp --- Ink question

Does anyone know whether or not the ink in my Ultimark stamp can take any type of black ink? Or does it have to be something special?

I ask because I'm running low on ink and have in my junk drawer one of those printer refill kits (for color and black ink). I no longer use it for my printer cartridges due to mishaps, however can I use that ink for my stamp?

Ultimarks (and our Stingrays) use oil-based ink and must be refilled with the same. Self-inking stamps (the ones that rotate) and most inkjets use water-based formulations, which are not compatible. So, no, you cannot use the ink from a printer refill kit in an Ultimark.

P.S. Ultimarks and similar stamps are good for a fairly huge number of impressions before re-inking is necessary. You must be a stamping maniac.
