Re: OT Gas prices: Champaign, IL

I live close to Champaign, but in last 2 days have traveled to southern Illinois, St. Louis and back to east central Illinois (not on closings - family emergency) and I paid as little as $2.67 and as much as $2.79. Not as high as it could be, but seems to be high for our area.

Re: OT Gas prices: 2.79/Regular in Englewood and rising dail

Just hit $3 today for regular locally here on Long Island - seems to be jumping 5 or 10 cents per week. I can't figure out how they can change the price on the gasoline that's already in their tanks; you drive by again 15 minutes later and the price has increased. It's not like they suddenly got a new delivery and their cost changed. Maybe I'm just not understanding the economics of running a gas station...

Re: I heard it was 4$ up in Frisco ---- Frisco?????

You must be talking about Frisco, TX, surely you can't be talking about SAN FRANCISCO......
You southlanders! You're all jealous of the City by The Bay.
But you're right gas is at $4.00 at some stations in San Francisco.

Frisco????? ooops

It sounds like you Northerner's don't like San Francisco to be shortened? Sorry, didn't mean to step on any toes. LOL. I'm definitely NOT jealous of your gas prices though..

Re: Frisco????? ooops

Being that I am originally from Northern California, I would say I sure do not like San Francisco being shortened to Frisco because S.F. is so better than Frisco.

Portland Oregon 2.94

Whew! Glad I drive a Prius!! In 2001, we could fill our Prius up for $8 - $10. Today it averages $26 - $28. I can't imagine NOT getting 45 - 50 miles a gallon!!
