Service Link

Any comments about Service Link? I haven't gotten paid for 3 signings I did for them and when I called about payment, they said they will not pay from faxed invoices. Seems pretty bizarre, especially when they required me to fax back 30 pages before allowing me to send back the docs!

Servicelink was my very first company back in Jan 2001 and that has been their policy since I have been with them.

So follow their rules and you will get paid. They were always upfront about snail mailing their invoice to them once a month. No suprises and you will get paid.

Service Link has an interesting record on Notary Rotary with mixed reviews (you can find a lot by doing a search?). I found that if they were billed as requested between the 1st and 5th for prior months work (on special SL form) they would pay within two weeks (including mail time) and that is a better record than many on this site have for a payment record. However, the data base they use apparently includes a major priority for fees charged in the respective service area and I must not be the least inexpensive in Kansas City area anymore as the signing I have with them have dropped off significantly since 1/1/07. Or perhaps they simply have not accepted as many loans to service in this area. Fortunatly, other companies that pay more have picked up.

Each unit within Service Link serves different lenders. Most of the personnel are really great to work with and some require no fax-backs and only part of one unit wanted split documents. Unfortunately, they want to pay you the same regardless of the assignment, other than for excess miles or overnight vs e-docs. Like many large companies, they have a small number of persons that make you wonder.

They have their own invoice which you have to mail (?) to them. I've never had a problem with getting paid.

They are actually a very good paying company, but you do have to use their forms, which are really easy to fill out. I usually overnight mine, so I can be sure it is received.
I recently billed them for stuff several months old and was paid very promptly. I am just really bad at billing them, I get lazy.....

Their base fee is about $55 plus $25 for edocs, but i only accept those fees for signings within my home zip code. But they have negotiated higher fees when they need to. nd the scheduling dept is really nice.
