Silk Abstract

Did a search and found mixed reviews. Received my check today for a Jan closing. Took 90 days. Just thought I would let everyone know you will wait for your money with them.

I just did one for them about 2 weeks ago and was paid right away. You have to email your invoices to them. I've done about 3 or 4 and have been paid timely.

No where in the instructions does it say to e-mail an invoice. I called 3 times and was not told that either. I was given the fax number to fax my invoice. I did that 3 times. Took 90 days.

did a closing for them on 1/17/07...recd check 1/30/07....13 days isn't bad..................

I have no idea why it took so long for me, did everything I was told to do. No errors that I'm aware of. Glad you all had a good experience. I'll give them another try if they ever call again.

I have worked for them off and on for years. Currently, we are in an off phase, mostly because the last time I did a signing for them they tried to change the fee amount after the fact, claiming they never agreed to pay me the fees that their rep did agree to. Long story short, it took several calls to get a check from them at all, then it was short, and then they finally paid the remainder. I am willing to work with anyone who does not 1) ask me to do unethical or illegal things and 2) does not ask me to work for less than agreed upon or wait unreasonably longer than agreed to be paid. Silk has been great on 1), less so on 2). I would still work with them if they called me, but I am not planning to actively solicit their business at this point.
