Staples sale on HP printers week of May 6 thru 12

Staples will be having a good sale on printers week after next, so I thought I'd get you all a heads-up in case anyone, especially new notaries just starting out, is looking for a good deal on one.
For a good all-around inkjet printer, I can personally recommend the HP OfficeJet 7310 all-in-one (fax, scan, copy, and print) on sale for $219.98, send in for the $40 rebate, and your final cost is $179.98. This printer sold for $400 when it came out a couple of years ago. I beta tested it for HP, and all the testers loved it except for the nuisance of the envelope-printing feature where you have to remove the output tray, remove the paper, move the paper guides, insert the envelope, print the envelope, then move the paper guides, replace the paper, and replace the output tray. An irritant if you print a lot of envelopes, but on the other hand envelopes print smoothly this way. The scanner will do legal size documents, a big plus in our business. Also, you will love the paper-saving and space-saving reverse print feature.
The HP 2600n color laser is $299.98, the HP 3600n color laser is $549.98, and the HP LaserJet 3390 is $599.98. I think some of our members can give feedback on these printers. Mine is an HP1300 LaserJet, and if you check around, you might be able to pick one up at a great price since it's now an "outdated" model, even though it is certainly still perfectly adequate for our purposes of printing edocs.
There are several other printers from HP, Lexmark, Samsung and Brother on sale as well.
I picked up an HP All-in-One with a letter-size scanner tray a couple of months ago at Office Max for $99 when they clearanced them out. It is not real small, but I keep it in the trunk of the car and am able to carry it in and out of a borrower's home. It's ideal to plug in and copy the borrower's ID if they haven't been able to get that done before the closing. The title companies are happy that the copies are in the return package, and I'm happy with the price of the printer.

Clarification - Only laser acceptable for documents

Sorry for any confusion. Laser is the only acceptable print for documents, but some of us have different printers on different computers or have both an inkjet and a laser on the same computer so we can choose which one to print from. I have an HP7310 inkjet all-in-one on my main computer, and an HP1300 LaserJet on my second computer. The computers are networked together so I can print to either printer from either computer. It's very handy to have both printers as the inkjet is also my fax-scan-copy machine.
But always always print edocs on a laser printer.

Great source for the HP 2600n

I got a "new" HP 2006n color laser printer from ebay. This store sells them all the time and also sells the toner

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZpcageinc

it came with everything- plus I got an extra warranty from ebay ( 2 or 3 yrs I think)

Works great....it looks totally new to me. He must have a deal with HP to get rid of extra or refurbished printers to be able to sell them this inexpensively, but who knows.

Check ebay for dual tray laster printers also...the HP 4100 is great- works flawlessly.
