Unlimited InBond Fax- $12/year
FWIW: I finally found the 2004 archives, which made reading old posts a whole lot faster.
I noticed a lot of mentions of efax and maxemail.
I use a service for my inbound fax called FAXAWAY. www.faxaway.com
It is only $12 per year for UNLIMITED inbound faxes. The faxes come to your email box. You can also utilize it to SEND faxes, but that is not cheap.
I have VOIP cable phone so I can call anywhere in the US (unlimited) and my trusty old 9600 baud fax machine sends on it fine (higher bauds do not work on some VOIP lines), so I use that old fax machine to send faxes when a fax is absolutely required.
Actually,I don't send very many faxes. For faxback requests, I ask them if they would prefer an PDF of the documents required to be faxed back and I use SCANSNAP (Fujitsu) to scan those puppies into a PDF- and off they go via email. If someone INSISTS that I stand and fax pages, I will do that, but it is more expensive and time consuming.

K7 is FREE (for incoming)
www.KT.net
I use it as a backup service. Once a week I send a "keep alive" fax, because if you don't use the service, your number will be disabled. I don't know what the time period is, so I just have an automatic fax sent to my K7 number every week. You cannot send faxes with K7, just receive.
