Update on the Whitleyville closing - see prev thread

Just got in and checked messages. Turns out they are offering $75 for a single refi with edocs. I can't afford to work for them at that fee. Frown

Wow that's a fortune and you passed it up?

They probably thought that in middle Tennessee that was top dollar and that everyone would hit that like a big mouth bass on a spinner. Obviously everyone but you. Smile

The TN notaries I know charge same as or more than me

I know some of the experienced notaries in my area, and they charge the same as or more than me. Don't know if they'll be able to find anyone who'll accept what they're offering, but I know it won't be me. This is a business to me, not a hobby!

Re: The TN notaries I know charge same as or more than me

People sell Tennessee short. It's a beautiful place with clever, smart gals like SueW/TN who I enjoy the heck out of. I have talked with Sue on the phone lots and I love chatting with her. From the first word I felt like I had a kindred spirit on the line.

Seems like Sharon Taylor ain't so shabby either!

And I happen to be one of Texas's main cheerleaders....

Hey Bren.....Still working your fingers to the bone? Boney fingers??? ~laffs~ Thank you for the sweet words and I sooooo appreciate you and all that you've done to help me. And yes every now and then someone tries to sell our beautiful state and folks a little short but we're so relaxed here it doesn't much bother us. Although weather had gotten a bit nuts, everything is blooming, Tuesday I had to turn on the A/C...major Canadian cold front blowing through and the past two nights it's gotten down to 30 with Easter forecasted a high of 42! Go figure! Little rabbits will be wearing their coats! Folks are scrambling that went ahead and put in their gardens, they call it dogwood winter and it's amazing. I don't remember it being like this in years past but then I barely remember what I did yesterday!

Awwww, thanks for the kind words, Brenda

Sue sounds like a real asset to the great state of TN too. And I love Texas - was down there many years ago for a tropical fish convention in Dallas and also toured Fort Worth, then the whole crazy crew of us hit Austin for some partying. Ah, yes, memories were definitely made during that visit!

Do you know whether respi490 a signing service, or a notary looking to farm out work that he or she can't handle?

Brenda's comments in the original thread were dead on - this is a person who claimed to be a "newbie" and wanted a list of title companies, then said thay he or she had completed 300 signings. Now they're back looking for NSAs and offering lowball fees. I'm not sure what's going on here, but it don't smell too good...

I saw Brenda's comments in original thread

Hadn't remembered the original postings by this respi person, so I was glad Brenda and the rest of you posted your comments. And posting on the board for a notary in that area when all the person has to do is type in the zip code with "Find A Notary" to have 3 notaries' listings show up. I mean, it's not rocket science. Alarm bells going off by the dozens here!

Now that I see your profile Sharon

my best friend lives in Baxter and I'm planning a trip up that way one weekend this month. When I do I'll give you a holler and maybe we can have coffee!!! I even know where Starbucks is up there in your fine city!

Absolutely, Sue - give me a call

I don't drink coffee, don't like the taste, but I would love to meet you at Starbucks on "Restaurant Row" or wherever. Starbucks makes great hot chocolate too. Smile You're welcome to come on out to the house if you like - nothing fancy, but it's ours, no mortgage. LOL Carl makes a great cup of perked coffee too. Baxter is just a few miles from us.

I googled respi490

Apparently he/she sells more than notaries.

Re: I googled respi490

The links I turned up were telling as well. From my Google search, apparently they schedule field service reps to stock stores with merchandise (merchandisers) at the fine hourly amount of $8 an hour. LOL. I have done merchandising. You can get $15 to $20 an hour. Respi490 is a middleman, plain and simple.

Actually, at $15 to $20 an hour I was being scheduled by "middlemen" so I think Respi490 would be considered a double-middleman. JMHO.

That seems to make respi490 a SS in my estimation

A people (and thing) broker who is too ignorant or lazy to use the find a notary feature when searching for an NSA.

Is this Notary Express LLC in zip 37112? If so, then......

I didn't realize Harry let National Signing companies list here. Looks like a free listing no less. I would find it hard to believe Harry gives free listings to National Signing Services.

Just Wondering

Can't see it - that link has your session ID in it, and it's not valid for anyone else.

I'm really curious about this one - I know who's behind Notary Express LLC and I've tried to locate them here by zip code, but keep coming up empty. How did you find their profile?
