OT = Oh, thit! As in, "Oh, thit, I gueth I'll try the thearch button next time."

NM = Never Mind, as in, "Never mind, I think I'll just find another line of work that's less hazardous than asking a question on NotRot, like the urban bomb squad, or rattlesnake milking," or being Simon Cowell's proctologist."

NM is already taken. It means No Message. How this applies when they use it at the end of an actual message and put the slash in, I don't know (maybe "n/m" means never mind?).
