Or should it be ring… ring… “Hello this is dimples with sweet t pie signings and we have a closing not far from you in about an hour and 45 minutes. Can you do it?”
“Sure, if I get back to the office and docs are ready to print, what is the status?”
“The really great guy of a loan officer says they will be ready by the time I’ve gotten someone to do it. Your fee looks okay, so we should have everything to you shortly. “
Hurrying back to office to start printing and call borrower etc… Ring ring – “This is dimples again, can you do it at 4:30 tomorrow instead? The loan officer says the docs are delayed.”
“If I reserve 4:30 and nothing happens what’s the fee to be paid?”
“Ummmmmm Ahhhhhhh. How about a trip fee and doc fee IF they are printed and maybe we can simply confirm and keep you advised of the status. Or, maybe we can just find another notary.”
“Okay, option one sounds okay as long as you don’t mind me taking another assignment that you may have to work around on the time”
Now back at office - Abbreviated confirmation received. Ring… ring… “You are really going to hate me - the borrower cancelled. I look forward to calling you on the next one and hope we can work together soon.”
