Latanya, What you need to do for now is to start reading the posts here. Start googling for "notary signing service." Make a list of a few then come back here to NR and search (use orange search button) to determine if they are reported on this forum for not paying. Sign up with those which do not have a bad report. Do that each day until you have signed up with 100 companies.

In the meantime, read post number 33325. It will give you a lot information on how to get started.

Also, carefully learn what your notary rules say you can and cannot do, what you must do, and what you should do.

You ask for good paying companies. That's something we'd all like to know. You are just going to have to drill in and try to get answers. By reading posts you can learn what a good price is, what your costs will be for having a business and how you can not lowball yourself right out of business.

Brenda, Latanya has been asking for us to set her up

over several days. She obviously has no interest in checking out msg 33325 and reading the site. She has been told this before by several of the regulars. She just wants it handed to her like the NNA promised. Another entitlement minded individual who hasn't a prayer of succeeding in this business or any other.

NO problem. When I am new to a site, I try and read for a couple of weeks (a lot) and get the general feel for a forum before posting. Just spend a few days reading and you'll get better at it.

Steal?

I'm not getting any warm fuzzies here. Maybe, it's just me?

Latanya, there are quite a few...

notaries in your area. You need to use your profile to distinguish your services and sell yourself to those searching your area for a notary. There is a list in Signing Central you can pick some good signing services there and promote yourself.
