A Woman's only poem uh uh No men
He didn't like the casserole And he didn't like my cake, He said my biscuits were too hard Not like his mother used to make. I didn't perk the coffee right He didn't like the stew, I didn't mend his socks The way his mother used to do. I pondered for an answer I was looking for a clue. Then I turned around and smacked the shit out of him... Like his mother used to do.

It's interesting how our perceptions change things. Picture a man speaking of striking his wife over such provocations, and suddenly it isn't funny at all.
We don't view it as family violence when a woman punches a man. It only becomes family violence when he strikes back.
For the record, the U.S. Department of Justice reports that in urban areas, when a spouse kills a spouse, 41 percent of the time it is the husband's body on the kitchen floor. Every study that has ever been done -- there are scores of them, despite what you read in the mass media -- that uses a truly representative sampling has found that women initiate as much >>physical<< family violence as men do. Unfortunately, what women initiate, larger and stronger males tend to finish.
Perhaps one of the reasons we have so much domestic violence is misguided attempts at humor such as this?
