Bancserv

I know there's been some discussion about Bancserv's slow payment issues. I'll give credit where credit is due. I did a closing for them on July 30. They met my fee and I received my check today.
Just wanted to pass that along.

I have found that they will agree to a reasonable fee when in a bind; then argue that it was too high at the end of the assignment and ask you to lower it for any number of reasons...whatever they can think up. I am sure many times that works well for them often....but not with me.

However, they have always paid in a timely fashion.

They are an OK firm but

they don't pay market rates by any stretch. The one time they called last summer, I tried to negotiate and they reacted like it was against their religion. The signing went fine and I was paid timely. I haven't heard from them since.
