CFacts - Any luck getting paid?
I did 6 closings for them in June, and they just won't pay. I now fax the invoices to them at least twice a week. Yesterday I faxed a note with the invoice that I would be filing complaints with the PA DOI, PA DOJ, the NC DOJ and the BBB. They don't return phone calls.
Anyone have any luck getting paid by them?

Why do more than 2 or 3 without being paid unless they are
known to you or giving you a BIG bonus to do 6 in a 2 day span? I try to do only 2 or 3 from a new company until I learn, for sure, about them (if they aren't readily available on "search" And then you will find that there are some companies that have their feelings hurt if you are owed over $500. and expect to get paid before you dare do any more. I've had that happen too, but "so be it" I know I'll get my money from the tried and true companies, but the new have to prove themselves to me, I've been "burned" a couple of times by that type.

I know that I have commented on this company, probably more than once. If you did a search on this site you would know that they have a lot of problems paying signing agents. I would NEVER do work for them again, I was thrilled that I finally got them to pay me everything they owed, but it took months.

For every notary that had a problem, there was another
notary that was paid right away. I did a search, the info was split, and there really was not all that much. They are also a TC, not an SS so it should not be so hard to get paid by them.
Many companies have 30 day turn around times, and the way not to get a new big client is to only accept 1 or 2 closings from them in a 30 day period. Some of my best clients came on fast and hard. CFacts is the first TC that I've had payment issues with. I have a harder time getting paid by attorneys than anyone else.

No need to be so defensive. Your reason is exactly why I gladly accepted closings from them at first. I would quote my fee and it was always met butI always had to call and ask for my money. At least I knew I would get paid then after a while they owed me for several closings and I kept getting one excuse after another. It turned into 3 months (as I recall) and really thought I was not going to get my money but I persisted and finally (I think they got sick of me). They didn't pay me for all the past due closings at once but eventually I got my money. Another notary that I chat with in PA had the exact thing happen to her.

It would appear to me that Lisa has shown considerable restraint in view of the aggressive comments. NCLisa is hardly a newbie and is a premium member as well, I certainly didn't thought her comments deserved the the type of reponses fielded. Her business model is hers and while I can understand a rebuke for someone doing a number of signings for a company like SOX, TCs generally pay immediately and because they have to, they are bound by the laws of their states.

I checked my file from last yr and I have them with a *Flag* on their folder. I either did a closing in 05 or 06, with much the same difficulty in collection.

Thank you Charles!!
The payment issues I normally have are with attorneys that I do abstracting for. This is the first TC that I've ever had non-payment issues with!

CFacts just left me a message...
They are sending out $275 of the money they owe me today, which satifies the first invoice I sent them. As of today, that invoice is exactly 60 days out. It took a threat of filing complaints against them to get that. I wonder if it will be exactly 60 days out for the other 2 invoices to be paid.
