CTC Notary

I received a call from CTC Notary out of Sacramento, CA this pm. Needed me for a signing tonight in my hometown, edocs, single refi. the Lender was CW. He was only willing to pay $85. I told him my fee of $xxx.xx. He said that is way more than we ever pay, and nobody gets that much. I said, well I do.
Anyone ever work for this SS? I searched Signing Central and did search, nothing.

They called me 2 days ago! I quoted them my fee $xxx he said to high. He said your not certified with the xxx! I said thank you very much I cant help you,!!

I WAS CALLED TO DO A CLOSING FOR THIS COMPANY AND I ACCEPTED - E-DOCS ALSO, MY FEE WAS $90.00. I ALSO HAD ANOTHER CLOSING THE SAME NIGHT WITH THE SAME LENDER BUT A DIFFERENT SIGNING SERVICE. I PERFORMED BOTH OF THEM AND HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH EITHER. AFTER I RETURNED THE DOCS, CTC CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE ONE OF THE DOCUMENTS SIGNED PROPERLY (THE BORROWER HAD REFUSED TO SIGN THIS SAME FORM ON BOTH LOANS) THE OTHER LOAN WENT THROUGH AND I WAS PAID FOR IT. THIS COMPANY KEPT ARGUING WITH ME BACK AND FORTH AND I FINALLY GOT SO ANGRY THAT I FINALLY TOLD THEN TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THEIR WORK AND DON'T EVER CALL ME AGAIN. I NEVER DID GET PAID. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THEY TRY TO FIND SOMETHING TO ACCUSE YOU OF AND THEN ARGUE ABOUT IT UNTIL YOU GIVE UP AND THEY WIN. I TOLD THEM THAT I WAS GOING TO REPORT THEM AND THEY THREATENED ME BY TELLING ME THEY WERE GOING TO TURN ME INTO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THEY ACT LIKE BICKERING CHILDREN AND MY TIME IS WORTH MORE TO ME THAN THAT.

CTC Notary IS NOT PAYING!

I will no longer accept assignments from CTC in Sacramento. I have not been paid for a signing I did on 2/13/08! It's been more than 90 days, and I've sent invoices, emails, letters, made numerous phone calls, etc. They keep promising "the check is in the mail," but I haven't seen it. It's ridiculous how we have to hound these signing companies for our fee for professional services rendered.

I recently worked directly with a title company and got my check within ONE week after the signing. They even sent it to me by FedEx which was really nice. So what's the deal with these signing companies? We as notaries have to stick up for ourselves. Don't work for less than what you're worth. I won't do e-docs for less than $100. It's just not worth it.
