Re: Yup - learned MY lesson...
Well the ongoing e-mails by Rikki who states she cuts checks only on certain days are extremely unprofessional. Let me know if we are dealing with the same person. I do give most one chance, it's ok I'm in touch with Title......

Re: Yup - learned MY lesson...
Some how they got by me. I am out just 45 day right now. I know another notary that worked for them and they took 90+ days to pay her. They are slow slow to pay. If mine are late 60 days you can bet I will be touch with the title company. I always keep the Loan Company's address and phone numbers and or the Title company. I have a block that I fill out on my invoice that I send to the SS. You never know when you need that information. Good luck

Re: OR - I keep that info too..
But in both cases mine were RESPA signings - no SS or TC to drag into it - although in the second case I DID contact the mortgage company and got the LO on board in case it dragged out any further - finally got my check..

Re: OR - I keep that info too..
It took them over 70 days to pay me for the sign up. Funny thing is I did the closing and was paid within 2 weeks from the title company. When I called Closing Quest they told me that they don't get paid unless the signing takes places and they weren't paid on it. When I told them that the closing was complete, gave them the funding date and the Owner of the title company's name they quickly changed their tune and their payment was just than received. I received my check about 4 days later.

Re: OR -I'm now in the middle of mindless and endless
e-mails from the CEO according to his e-mail signature, it's my fault according to him this has escalated to this level by contacting title, he states he's not happy.

Waiting since April; still no pay!!
Rikki was very unprofessional to me so I went to the CEO which was a joke. I have been promised payment by both of them several times and have received nothing. I have submitted them to Dun & Bradstreet as a "written off" debt. I hope this kills their credit rating and they go out of business.

Re: Yup - learned MY lesson...
Yep - we are - mine was a bit different though - both assignments they claim my online invoice never made it into the system - still took almost 60 days on both counts.

Having to keep emailing to get paid is unacceptable
We shouldn't have to contact companies at all to get paid.

Re: NO, IL I do not keep e-mailing, when I have to chase my
loot, I'm done with the company. Take this as a redflag, a company that has poor management skills at best.

Re: Yup - learned MY lesson...
It's not uncommon for A/P to only cut checks on certain days, but it would be nice if they mailed them out the day they are cut rather than sit on them for a while. Rikki was actually very pleasant when I spoke to her on the phone, but it took two more weeks before I received a check she said was cut a few days earlier...
That being said, I won't accept any more assignments from them. Waiting 70+ days for payment and having to call to ask about it is unacceptable. These companies think nothing of making their cash flow problems our cash flow problems. Why is so difficult to set aside the notary's portion once they receive payment?

Re: Closing Quest-THINK TWICE
It never ceases to amaze me how notaries are so quick to point out any failure or problem, but fail to mention the positives.
We apologize for the delays some have experienced in receiving payments, but we always pay!!
We typically provide more notary work than any other company and in 5 years of business, we have always paid a notary who properly performed their closing.
In the future, I would appreciate the failure of other companies not paying notaries not be the reason Closing Quest is attacked or stereo-typed.
I also want to largely thank every notary who has worked for and continues to perform professionally. It is because of these individuals that notaries have a future in closing loans and lawyers aren't able to take over as they have in seven states.
