DHL=Delayed Home Loan
I shipped a package as the title company wanted through DHL on 8/29/07. It was going from northernCA to southern CA. I got a call yesterday from the borrower (8/30) that the escrow co. never received it and the loan would have to be done all over again. I tracked the package today and it said that it arrived in ohio today and left Ohio today. (8/31) and there was no activity listed for yesterday! Just a warning to all of you out there trying to save a dollar or 2 by using poor service

Yes! This is a common problem.
I have read other threads that complain about this, and it has happened to me. I get the signatures, drop them the same day becuse they must have it tomorrow, and then it "gets lost". I call DHL to put a trace on the lost package, and I have to go back and resign. The borrowers are angry and it is unpleasent becuase I have no answers. A week later, the lost package is delivered.

I hope it was the title company's decision to use DHL and not yours. That's pretty poor service, but it sounds like you're covered as you were following their instructions.

DHL gives me better service than either UPS or FedEx. They must not be bad everywhere--I'm out in the sticks in southeastern Ohio and their deliveries have always been timely, even delivering here on days that UPS and FedEx won't (like Saturdays).

their customer service is awefull I tried to sign up with them and the person who suppose to help me was so mean, so I called and complain about him and the manager took my name and number haven't heard anything back from the manager either kind of disoppointed
