ESS(Escrow Support Services) Quality Title Agency

Has anyone ever had bad dealings with this signing company? I was called to do a closing on 7/30/07. They offered me $150 without haggling over fee. I never could get ahold of the borrower. It was getting close to the signing time and Quality Title sent me the docs and then called and said the person could not do it. A girl named Kimberly at ESS said that if I had printed I would be paid half. The next day 7/31/07 ESS called back asking me if I could do it that evening. I agreed. Well the same thing happened, I never got an answer at the borrowers house, left several messages. It was getting on the closing time and I asked ESS if they had another number for the borrower and they gave me the brokers number. This number turned out not the right number. I stupidly printed the docs (136 pages 2X). I finally got the borrower at the scheduled closing time (6:00) and she said she could not do it that her daughter was in the hospital with an emergency. She had just come home for a minute to take medicine. I told her to call me if she could do it later. I called back to the persons number that was on the ESS sheet. This was someone named Autumn who went beserk on me and said did I ask the lady to meet me at the hospital. I said no. I called the borrower back and caught her still at home and asked about the hospital and she thought I was nuts. As I was on my home phone talking to the borrower I could hear this Autumn on my cell phone talking very bad about me to someone. I got back on the cell phone with Autumn and told her the woman was not willing to try to sign in the hospital. Autumn started yelling at me that she would find someone else to do it and she hung up. A few minutes later Kimberly from ESS calls and says that she found a "good man" that she uses all the time to go to the ladys house at 10:00pm. She said it wasn't a good idea to send a woman out that late. I told her that she better pay me half of my agreed upon fee for printing and she said she would have to check with someone about this. I reminded her that she told me that the day before. I asked her who this nut Autumn is and she said the escrow officer and that she was pretty high up in Quality Title. This Quality Title Agency is so small they dont even have a website. ESS and Quality are in the same room with each other. There is one called Quality Title but thats a different one. I probably will never be paid. Has anyone ever dealt with this place? Thanks.

Never dealt with 'em, but, after reading your experience, never will. A signing at a hospital during an emergency???? Where is Autumn's brains and her humanity? Sheesh...

had a last minute cancellation call from a mother-in-law a few years ago - seems the borrower went into labor. I naturally turned around and headed home - told her I'd take care of passing the message onto the broker and they should call to reschedule when they were ready. Broker wanted me to go to hospital and sign them because ... you know she's not having that baby right away ... I refused. Title company - while amazed at his request - tried to find someone else to fill the order. Thank goodness everyone in my area at that time apparently used common sense and they couldn't find anyone. I met them a week or so later and signed the docs. I never go to hospitals, no matter the reason. Too much commotion, no place to sign, etc.

Re: ESS(Escrow Support Services)Update

The borrower for the ESS closing that I was suppose to do on 7/31 called me today. She said when she got home from the hospital another notary was waiting for her. She told him she was not signing any loan documents. She said since then the broker has called her and she told him forget it. What goes around comes around!
