Never mind. I found them. They are actually a Title comp. This really stinks with having to watch every single phone call you get with all the comps biting the dust. You really have to have your feelers on. My high hopes are the bad comps are going to go away and we will be left with mostly good comps and things will get back to normal where you dont have to do a search on every single comp that calls that isnt known.

Are you talking about Flagship Title out of Hampton VA? If so, I did a signing for them on 5-23 and received my check 7-18.

It did take quite a long time to get payment. I was pretty disappointed in that as with other Title Companies I am paid as soon as the loan disburses. Honestly, the transaction happened so long ago, I do not remember if I was on the HUD or not. I do not keep information like that on hand.
I did a search before I accepted the job, but there were mixed reviews. So I figured I'd take the chance. All I can say is that at least I was paid. But I have made note in my ledger that payment took that long.

Flagship Title Services is a TC, but I have worked for them many times and found that they mostly act as a signing service for other TC's. I have never been listed on the HUD with their jobs. They used to be 30 - 45 days to pay, then they went to 45 - 60 days. I stopped answering the phone when they call because docs are usually late and large packages with lots of notarizations - they just don't pay enough for all the hassles and 60 day wait to receive your check. However, they have always paid and never stiffed me.

Avoid Flagship!!
We run a full service title company with a small notary service for the WV area. We did a closing way back in Jan, had to fax a pile of stuff to get the deal, tons of paperwork, then here it is March, and have called 2 x--talked to Curtis and a Katie--each person asked for items already sent, gave me the run around, left me on hold, Curtis even called me a "peon" when I finally got to speak to him a 3rd time and mentioned we had an attorney on staff who would be happy to file a small claim. I am certain after this last call I will NOT get paid, but anyone interested in filing a small claim, contact SMG (my companies) owner at [e-mail address]
If she gets at least 10 parties she will put something together against Flagship.
