French toast, eggs and hot cocoa

to start my day in this cold cloudy weather in Va. Sitting here in the office bored out of my mind waiting for the west coaster's (posters) to wake up and get on the board, as I see its pretty dead in the mornings of the East coasters (posters). So how did everyone start their day?

Well so far only a cup of coffee...but after seeing your post I might try to put together some french toast, eggs and cocoa! That sounds great.

But to answer your question, I'm starting out my day completing the paperwork from a closing I had last night....going over it for the third time before dropping it.

Have a great day Toni!

Me, too; Only one cup of coffee, and getting ready to head to Fed Ex to mail docs. Bowl of Cheerios for breakfast; French toast sounds much better.......

I lucked out and married a foodie.

He always fixes me eggs scrambled with cheese, spring onions and mushrooms in the morning. But I always have a kitchen to clean.

I am waiting on docs for my 9:00 am appointment. I have to leave NOW and they still are not here. Borrower will not pick up the phone. Never called be back from yesterday either. SS said this is a Countrywide loan, and Countrywide has not sent any email docs for 2 days. I think I'll start cleaning the kitchen since I'm not going anywhere.

Re: Low carbing it here...meat and cheese for breakfast.

Good for you Brenda! I have been on a low-carb diet for 20 years. (Doctor's orders) I weigh 122 (5'9"Wink, I have tons of energy, no afternoon lows, and whenever I get my blood pressure checked, they say I have the blood pressure of a 16 year old. I am 48. I eat all the eggs, cheese, meat, and chicken that I want.

OT - Low carbing it here...THANKS CJ

CJ - sugar is a poisonous beast...I have lost 38...nearly 40 pounds this past year by cutting out all sugar and sticking to the Atkins way...I believe in slow healthy weight loss and that it will be permanent that way because I'll make this a habit. I don't weigh 122, but that's the neighborhood I am aiming for. Hopefully done by the end of the year!

Your post is VERY inspirational! Thanks!

I'd be interested in hearing more...maybe on the leisure board so we don't get in trouble.

Smile

Brenda

Re: OT - Low carbing it here..Got to have my carbs here but

The dogs are fed the cat went out. Hubby is still sleep (works swing shift) and coffee just went on. I think I am ready to start my day. No food for me ( just juice and coffee does that count) for a few hours. I'm not a breakfast person unless it is for dinner.

Re: Good morning from the WEST COAST!!!

It's an overcast morning here in the Great Northwest! I made a quick run to the credit union at 7:30 this morning. Now I am drinking a nice cup of Thomas Hammer coffee, and watching the Today show!

Did my faxing from last nights Citibank HELOC, shipped the docs, now I have some down time.

Shouldn't my phone be ringing??? Isn't it almost EOM??? LOL...good thing we have another gig <smile>.

Hubby is off making money to feed the kid-lets.

Re: Good morning from the WEST COAST!!!

We (Southern California) finally had an overcast morning. It is heartbreaking to see the floods in Ohio. We have had a drought since January, but that is normal. We have also had a forest fire (Zaca fire: our forests are more like tall weeds) over here for 2 months, and they FINALLY got it contained. Every day we can see the smoke. I wish we could have some of that Ohio water. We could sure use it.

Re: Good morning from the WEST COAST!!!

Yeah, the fires are really something. We have several every year. It's a constant smokey-haze this time of year. We are in the dry part of the state (Spokane), and we have some beautiful forest areas.

Most of the fires here are caused by lightening strikes. I guess, this is some of the only extreme weather we have, so I count it as blessing.

Some would say that the winter is extreme here, but we love it.

Re: Good morning from the WEST COAST!!!

I may sound dumb but why doesnt the state create irrigation lines or sprinkler system in some of these areas or does this natural ocurrence (fires) need to happen so that the earth can renew itself?

Re: fires..

well, most of the areas that we have fires are natural forest. Since the state is so large, I think that it wouldn't be feasible (sp?) to do anything. Also, for the most part it is a renewal.

Sometimes the fires threaten homes, and in that case, provided that they have not been evacuated, the homeowners get up on the roof. They sprinkler down everything 24-7, until the fire has been contained.

We have a lot of mountains, and untouched areas. Places that you can't even get to by road. It's really one of the most beautiful places on earth! We forget that sometimes, and take it for granted.

Lots of camping, boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking...FREE entertainment!

Good morning from the Mid west!!!

All I had today was an oath for a phone affidavit.
Everyone here is trying to dry out from the floods. Business is dead, I think from the floods. Just checked a website to see what roads are open and which are closed. Its pretty bad. Anyone who has ever contacted their congressmen via email got and email from them outlining what to do and where to go if affected by the floods.

All this humidity is affecting everything from hair to printers. Even my garage door hung up because the weather stripping has lost it's glue and wrapped aroung the little wheels in the track!
The sun is peeking out but we are still under flood warnings through monday here.
