Furniture Liquidations

Keep your eyes open for mortgage offices going out of business. We just had a mortgage company on the floor below mine go out of business and they gave away their remaining furniture/supplies. I snatched up a HON Manager's Chair ($450 value). It needs a little work, but I'll get it all fixed up. I saw somebody wheeling away with the side-by-side refrigerator from the breakroom. I tried to get a printer, but I don't think they had many that they hadn't liquidated already.

I heard that they had advertised on Craigslist that they would be giving away their furniture beginning at 10 am, and by God they did!

Free Toner???? Maybe!

From the Quote of the Week - Implode-O-Meter http://ml-implode.com/

"I would argue that Countrywide is insolvent. Their only asset is their pricing platform, their business algorithm, and that's not working. The next biggest asset they have is the toner for their copiers."

—Joe Mason, in the August 17th Mortgage Meltdown 2007.

Re: Free Toner???? Maybe!

Are you suggesting that CW may go belly up?
