Had to share this

I received an email from Notary2day, a signing service out of Washington, they are opening up Nationwide - I sent them an email asking them to take me off their list, and also gave them a word of advise.. LOL - Here was their response.....

"Thanks for the input! Business is really slowing down for us. We do About 500 a month and growing and the average payout for a notary from us is around 75 bucks e-doced. Notaries work cheaper when you pay them quicker or at least so we have found out. 15 days out and they beg for signings. The non compete agreement is for the signings we send them on and that’s all. "

I'll go back to working a regular fulltime job, thank you very much !! Smile

Just thought I'd share this. For all you $75 edoc notaries, best of luck to you. I don't begrudge anyone from working, but this is exactly why our profession has gone down hill.

To all you great notaries who have worked for me... YOU ROCK !! - Stand your ground.

Which is precisely the question I asked the other day -- msg #203374--- I have heard this from another ss (Express Notary Services) that believes notaries are overpaid anyway and "so what if I make my money off a signing agents back."
I don't know about others but I have my own values and I won't knowingly work for outfits like that.

I think it's sad. And then, there are the ones that call you and offer $80 for e-docs, and when you refuse them, they act like they just can't believe that you won't accept their offer. They tell me, "Well, most other companies are only paying $75. We're offering $5 more, so what's the problem???"

Thanks for sharing. There is a lot of this going on lately. I personally know of a notary that is doing $50 edoc signings .... but wanted me to print some docs for him because he printer died and he did not have the money to get a new one right now. I told him my printing fee was $35.00. "How do you expect me to make any money?"

I was just dumbfounded and speechless. Needless to say, I have not heard from him again .....
