Help with Brother HP2040

Does anyone else have this prob with this printer?
One SS I work for I have no problem printing with adobe(pdf) but most others I have problem with even with adobe(pdf). It prints the first 5-10 pages fine. The rest come out blank. Then I tried printing from my laptop on the same printer and I get a message that there is an error with the file.
Of course this always happens with last minute docs. Thank god for my girlfriend who helps me out and prints for me when I can't but I hate having to count on someone else.
Can someone please help me with this?

I have the Brother 2040 also, but never had that particular problem. If I did have a problem, it could be fixed by messing with the print settings and that was mainly when I had to use a document service like ELynx or Dynamic Docs. I found that if the first page printed okay, then I could print the rest without a problem. I have absolutely no clue as to why the first 5-10 would come out okay then the rest blank....for me it was all or none. Good luck, sorry I couldn't help.

FYI, our printer is now about $60 at Staples, I just got the ad today. I really like mine though.

Not sure if this will help. Since this is a small printer, maybe the package is too much for it. Try only printing 10 or 20 pages at a time.

Jill,

Try http://www.brother-usa.com/printer and carefully research the capabilities of your printer. You may need to get a printer w/ stronger capabilities. Good Luck. Of course it is only happening with certain web pages you may need to contact that title company or web page.
