I need a new line of business

sittin here thinking about what else to do becuase I dont want to be working in an office for someone else. So I thought and came up with finally going ahead and starting my own Private Investigator company. I have a degree in Criminal Justice because I wanted to be an FBI Special Agent when I was 20 yrs old. But then got into the National Security field and fell in love with being an Intelligence Analyst and then from there gone into Counterterrorism. So being that I have an extensive background in research, analytic and investigative techniques I have thought, why not make use of my knowledge, skills and abilities. Hmmm I should really look into that.

Sounds really interesting. If I had a degree in Criminal Justice I'd sure be using it somehow. I'm too old to go and get any sort of training for something like that.

Go for it girl!

It always pays to make use of your talents, don't waste time. Do as your heart tells you to do while you're still young. Never wait until you're too old and become a member of the
I could have
Should have
Would have club

Go' for the gusto and good luck!

One of the things I'm doing is being a private chef to homes

with busy families..and also starting a chauffeur/courier service with one of the home developers in the area (a large national company I will not name here). I can use my "Signing Doc" where needed and it can be run through my corporation. But to echo the others...find out what it is you LOVE and do it....even if you don't make a ton of money doing it....enjoying yourself and enjoying life is the thing that I have learned in my fifty (mumble mumble) years on this earth.

I trained race horses for 20 years. I love animals and am going to start a pet sitting business, with special marketing to people that keep a few horses on their own property. I am finding that not only does business stinks, but Title companies seem less organized, are getting edocs out later, and sending over night docs with cheap companies that deliver docs late. (I am waiting on some over night docs that have not arrived yet and it is 1:50 pm) this busnessis going to he@! in a hurry.

KKinNoCal: Last nite on "Flippin Out" a doggy masseuse came to the house flipper's pets and he paid her $70 per pooch for less than 2 hours work, 2 dogs. I've been thinking about this all day...the absurdity of pet owners who are childless and work all the time.

Excuse me?

"...the absurdity of pet owners who are childless and work all the time."

How about the absurdity of breeders popping out kid after kid expecting the public school system (that I pay taxes to support even though I don't have and can't stand the stinky rug rats) to raise them? Grandmother at 42? What the he!! is wrong with people?

At least we pet lovers take care of our own, spade and neuter them, love them and don't expect the public anything to raise them.

Re: I need a new line of business...Becca

I agree with you. I also think there should be spay and neuter laws for people who don't need or can't afford children. JMHO

I know one couple here that have 13 kids, on welfare and she keeps on having them.

Thank you, Loretta.

So many have bashed me for my opinion, but at least I can say, I have not burdened the tax payers of this Country by my decision. Wink

Becca: chill. I agree w/your valid points also. If one is

going to have kids, then one should take care of them, not farm to daycare centers, school system, etc. Oh no, I have opened my mouth in quick reply w/quick off the cuff remarks again, and someone feels stepped upon - certainly not my intent. Who is grandma at 42? Couldn't find ref. to that on any of these posts in this thread. I could only wish to be 42 again, and even w/surgery I couldn't pass.
The post was about new job opportunities and massages for your pet by another; doesn't reek of pet lover to me - just do it yourself if you really love them.

You're the one that said "...the absurdity of pet owners who are childless and work all the time."

I find it absurd that I did a closing for a 42 year old Grandmother last week that didn't have a job, didn't have a car, but had a High school aged daughter that had just given birth...Talk about absurd!

I don't give a crap what the original post was about. You made a crack at responsible individuals and as a responsible individual, I felt the need to respond.

Becca: you apparently need the last word. I have chucked my

response w/delete button. I can see your day did not go as well as you had hoped.
