I just hope you apologised to Reta too.
Those that have worked for her told you she was a god person to work for.

Re: I am so glad you two talked.......
I had faith this would be resolved and I had faith in Reta. Thank you so much for the apology Robin. It shows to me you have integrity. Good luck to you in your business.

Not sure what the apology is for but does anyone know if they are closing the door? Did a signing for them on 7/24/07. Just started calling for payment. All #'s that I have for them are disconnected. Not impressed. Any one know anything?

WHY SHOULD YOU APOLOGIZE?????
I too had an issue with nonpayment from Reta for a closing I did in August...after the 30 day window passed, I politely sent her an email requesting an update on payment status. No response! I waited about a week or so and tried to call her - phone was disconnected! So I sent her ANOTHER email - I wasn't so nice the 2nd time. I got a response back from her within a day or two and she informs me that she had replied to my previous email and proceeds to give me this woeful tale of how the lender she was working with closed their doors...blah..blah..blah. She would mail my check out within the week (9/21). So the next week, I send another email to follow up b/c there was still no PHONE service for her - same story again - she would send out by 9/28. So it got to be the middle of October - 60 days since I did the signing for her, still no check. I sent another email threatening legal action - I had already consulted my lawyer. The check arrived the day that we were to start collections activity. I want to just point out one thing - THE WOMAN CUT OFF HER BUSINESS PHONE! She was obviously working with some really questionable companies that went bellyup in August when all of the subprime crap hit the fan. Honest, hardworking people call her wanting to know where their money is and find out that they don't have a direct method of contact! She actually had the gall to tell me (after my last email) that since the lender went out of business, she really didn't have to pay me but she decided to "do the right thing." DOES THIS NOT SEEM SHADY TO ANYONE ELSE BUT ME? I am not one to post negatively about anyone or any company unless they are just grossly negligent or out of line - I wasn't even going to post anything about Reta / R&R until I read this and felt like I should speak up to prevent another notary from having to go through what I have. Needless to say, I will NEVER work with Reta or R&R Signature Service again and I would STRONGLY discourage anyone else from doing so - unless you want to work for free.
