Laredo. Texas....... notaries???
Any notaries in Laredo? My mother looked in the yellow pages and could not find a notary. She says it says something about notaries not being attorneys and to contact the SOS if they feel any notary has acted as one....or something to that nature. They need to have a signature notarized probably this coming Saturday. Please respond in forum or PM if you are available.

Check the notary listings here. Use Find a Notary. There are several listed for Laredo.
Notaries usually put disclaimers in their ads that they are not attorneys etc. Spanish speaking people could mistake Notary Public for Notario Publico - in Spanish speaking countries notaries are usually attorneys.

I did check after I posted. There are only 4 notaries in Laredo. Considering Laredo is such a big city I figured there would be more. I am hispanic so I do know about Notario Publico, which is what my mother said it said in the yellow pages. She said it said Notary Public then it said Notario Publico. No one was listed under Notary Public. I know they have them in almost all the banks in Laredo so maybe that is a reason they do not advertise. I plan on calling the ones listed here to set up something for them. They have to drive an hour into Laredo, I just want to make sure there will be a Notary available.

thanks Sylvia as always you are so helpful with everyone on this board. She called me this morning and said they found someone in their hometown. They live in a rural area, a place called Zapata. Thanks a bunch anyway.
