MortgageDocs
Good day to you all.
Has anyone recently had problems with MortgageDocs paying? I had several signings for them in June and was told checks went out 6/30. I received nothing. I called and emailed, and accounting again responded checks had gone out. I finally got through to a human being in accounting and he told me my check had been returned - something about the bar code. He confirmed my address. I commented that I'd done business with them for 18 months and not had a problem. He assured me the check was then mailed. Several days pass... no check. I emailed him this past Wed and received an email that he'd not seen the check returned to MortgageDocs. They also owe me for a couple of signings in July. I emailed the accountant last evening and told him that I wanted him to now FedExp or UPS me the checks for June and July. I also left him a voice mail re the same. Today is 8/4 and still no @^%$% check.
Bad enough that many of these signing companies are always trying to low ball us. They also drag their feet in paying what they owe. They want us to be on time, give excellent customer service, dress appropriately but they stick it to us with not paying in a timely fashion or not paying at all.
MortgageDocs has, up until recently, been pretty timely. What bothers me also is the lack of concern on their part. They'd crap if I exhibited that same lack of concern for their clients.

Must be an isolated problem. I've had no problems.

MortgageDocs: They dropped me, but ...
... when they were using me I never had a problem receiving payment.
They dropped me like a hot brick because they did not cancel and I demanded payment. All things considered, I would NOW eat that fee in order to have their business! (sigh)

Re: MortgageDocs: They dropped me, but ...
MortgageDocs is a company who has paid on time in the past, then got behind, has been trying to catch up, now the report is that they are slowing down again, and their fees are low...
Low fees + slow payment (now, apparently) = you're probably better off Ernest.

Re: MortgageDocs: They dropped me, but ...
Thanks all for the input.
The only signings I do for them is HELOCs that are in my immediate area because yes, they do not pay well. When they've called me for a HELOC signing outside my area, they have met my fees for the extra mileage and time. I have not been contacted for a refi and in light of what they pay for HELOCs, they probably wouldn't meet my fee for that.
On a positive note, they are always organized, the HELOCs are a breeze, no fax backs, etc. and they used to pay more promptly. Like everyone here, I've dealt with deadbeats and when my check is extraordinarily slow to arrive, it puts me on guard.

Hello
I have not had any payment problems with these people which is refreshing. I am still trying to figure out how their system works.
I was notified of jobs in my area this morning at 5:30am for next Weds?
Any body know how it all works?
thanks

You have to go to their website "signstat" and accept the jobs.

I get regular emails from them announcing that a round of checks went out. I did two signings for them last year and they act I'm always on their case.
