National Settlements is under Lenders first choice
Ok I have yet to be paid for a signing by National Settlements. I have sent emails and even called. When I called the number said it was Lenders first choice but then they transfer you to the scheduler who states its National Settlement. Ok I have worked for Lenders first choice directly and through LSI so Im confused as to why this particular department refuses to send payment and respond to inquiries.
Also why does Lenders first choice have so many different names and department that handles scheduling? Why cant they just make a central location and department? Am I asking too much for simplicity....lol.

I did an assignment for National Settlement Services that required a second trip (their fault, not mine). They sent payment for the second trip but not the first one - I called and had it resolved within 5 minutes; check arrived a week later.
Call them at (866) 350-5481 and ask to speak to someone in scheduling - if you give them the job number listed on your confirmation, they can quickly figure out what the problem is. I thought they were really easy to deal with, and the person I spoke to apologized several times for the delay. Checks get cut on Thursdays, so depending on when you call you can figure out when to expect your check.

THanks I left a message with Janice in Scheduling. They said they sent my check on 6-14-06. I did recieve a check on 6-16-06 int he same amount as the signing I did for National but the check name was sent by "TitleAmerica". So Im going to call Janice on Monday to see if that is them who sent a check under a different name.

If I recall correctly, I had the same confusion when I got their first check. The remittance (check stub) should show the job number and borrower name - I always cross-check that to my invoices and log whenever I get a check from a company I don't recognize.

Your seal acknowledges the fact that you witnessed the signature on the paper. If the Borrower signed the form, you are only certifying that it is his signature.
