OT: Does anyone out there oil paint?

I am artsy, and I am trying to oil paint, but I get stuck now and then. People say I should take classes, but they think I am lying when I try to explain that I work days, nights, and weekends. Anyway, I would like to talk to some other oil painters if you are out there. I am trying to do landscapes Alla Prima style.

Thanks a bunch.

The oil and turpentine is too much of a pain in the neck for me.

I only play with watercolor and acrylics.

Oh, oh, oh, Jersey Boy, you hit a nerve! I love to paint with oils. One of the best things about it is being able to mix colors right on the canvas, and if something goes wrong, you can scrape it back off and start again! They're smooth and easy to "move around" with the brush. Ok, enough rhapsodizing. I like watercolor and acrylics, also, but notice I said "like."

I also love watercolors. In elementary school I hated watercolors, then in my sophmore year of high school my art class had a 3 month stint on watercolors and I fell in love. I particularly like going to the shore and completing shore scenes.
