OT: Lemon Law Works- Yahoo!!!
I purchased a 2006 Jeep Liberty Turbo Diesel in March of 2006. After 8 months I started having problems. It had to be towed 3 times and one time they had it 32 days. Refusing to give me a rental car, telling me they had to wait to see if it was under warrenty. I told them I needed a rental car when I dropped it off. They had to replace the transmission and the Turbo system. The last thing that happend was the ABS braking sensor went out and my car was braking all by itself (Nice). There have been 6 saftey recalls having to do with things like door latches not working, blower unit could catch you car on fire, etc. Well needless to say I retained a lemon law attorney after the 32 day stay. Sent in all my work orders, receipts for rental car, proof of lost income, etc. Chrysler settled with me 2 weeks ago. They gave me a cash settlement and I got to keep my car. I just traded it in on a brand new 2007 Kia Rondo and I love it, it gets 29 miles on the highway. It has three rows of seats and enough room for all my equipment.

That's great to know. My dad had a 70 Lincoln Mercury Capri he purchased brand new. Fun car to drive, but we called it the cancer car. He owned it 90 days and it spent more time in the shop than in his garage. Things happened like whole windows falling out, the gear shift came out of the floor, it ate fan belts, the right wiper flew off one day in a rainstorm, it even got hit by a shopping cart that came flying down a parking lot and hit it as he was driving by on the way to the dealership. He finally asked his total purchase price back, which they gave him as well as a ride home- which was 45 miles one way. It pays to keep on top of them!!!! By the way it was yellow!!!!!!!!!!

No, but I threatened to paint it yellow and park it at the dealership. The dealership did like to see me come there. I would talk to the customers in the waiting room.

I wish you luck with the Kia. 3K more for a comparable Honda or Toyota will be better at the resale and also trouble free at five years or more.

I went to Honda and Toyota and for what I needed, this Kia was more than $3,000 less a Honda or Toyota. All the Honda and Toyota dealerships only had fully loaded with many extras I did not need make the price close to $30,000. I only paid $21,000. What sold me on the Kia was, front air bags, side air bags and curtain air bags. 5 Star crash test rating. 10 year 100,000 mile warrenty. My Jeep was 7 year, 70,000.
