Premier Documents Solutions - No Pay

After numerous attemps to collect from this company, I finally cc'd the TC on an email who was involved in the loan transaction. That triggererd the following response from Premier Documents Solutions: "

I have received your e-mail and I received your voice mails, we are behind in our payments right now and that is the reason you have not been paid yet. The reason that we don’t do business with AT any more is because notaries call them looking for payment which makes no sense because it is our responsibility to pay, not theirs. I also don’t understand how notaries expect to get paid when we are obviously behind if the try to get our business to get cut off which will cause us to close our doors, then no body gets paid. We are finishing up April now and then we will pay May. Thanks"

That was 2 weeks ago. I'd like to contact the BBB, but the last time I contacted the BBB to report a company in Texas, they told me, "they couldn't do anything for subcontractors -- which is how they viewed a notary."
Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem with this company. I called last Thursday and could not get anyone to answer the phone. I left a message with Annie and advised her to contact Matt (the owner and responsible party for paying us) and let him know that I would give him until Monday to get my money to me, or I was going to contact the title and mortgage companies involved and let them know what kind of company they were dealing with. I also said that it would be in the best interest of her own career to follow through with notaries being paid or she will be looking for a job. It is interesting that the e-mail sent to you said they were paying April now because one of the signings they owe me for was in March. He would not work for free, why would he expect a notary to?

Any luck? I sent Matt an email last Friday and said if I didn't have payment by the 15th I would contact the BBB. He didn't hasn't answered my email. Someone suggested Small Claims Court -- but he's in California and I'm in Florida. I need to do some research on how to file small claims on the other side of the country.
