Didn't happen with me that way - Reta's a good person - I can't answer for your circumstances - but that never how she treated me.

Robin, I dont know what you are saying here except that we all should be shameful for standing up for Reta. Would you not stand up for a company that has had nothing but a stellar reputation and also very good to work for? I think your comment is unwarranted because no, I dont think this is how Reta really does things. If you think for a moment you are going to actually bash her where others wont work for her, you are........well lets just say incorrect.

We, of course, are getting one side of the story so I'm not even going to the place where you decide someone is guilty or innocent. I will say this...I have done business with Reta for over 2 years and they don't come any better. She's honest, above board, rock solid. Her word is good as gold in my book, she has ethics and she's proven it over and over again. I honestly think this is the very first time I've ever seen a negative word printed about her and I hate to see it. There's got to be more to this story.....

well let me ask you this, has she ever failed to call you when you have called? Remember now, I have called her for 2 weeks with no reply. If you will look at my previous posts, people say they have had a response from her, so why do you think she just won't answer me? Returning someone's call means a whole lot more than avoiding someone. I am sorry that I don't know her but I feel I am getting the cold shoulder!!

I haven't worked for Reta in a long time. But I am sure there is a perfectly good reason why she has not called you. Have you given a thought to she may have been ill? Maybe she has tons of calls to return.
You also said "people say they have had a response from her" I saw one response saying they just received a check for a previous signing. Reta is "good people"

Re: Robin give it a rest
I have signed for Reta for more than three years. In fact, she is about the only SS I accept signings from. She is fair and honest.
You said the confirmation said nothing about no-sign/cancellation terms. It is *your* responsibility to ask about payment terms, i.e., when payment will be received and what about payment for no-sign/cancellations during the initial phone call.
Additionally, I don't know the particulars about the loan, nor do I want to, however, every loan I've signed for Reta has been for Calusa. If you do a search, you will see that they have joined the ranks of other fallen lenders, and might just have something to do with this nonpayment issue.

Re: Robin give it a rest
hey, you are right but, what would a phone call hurt, how many have you done and just forget them when they don't pay?

Re: Robin give it a rest
That's not what she meant. Make as many calls as your heart desires, just stop posting about it on this board. We get the point, she screwed you over, you don't like her. To keep rehashing it is tiresome.

Re: EXACTLY!!
You've made your point over and over that you haven't been paid and can't reach Reta. Stop with all the new threads repeating exactly the same thing. That is what I mean't by "give it a rest."
Continue to pursue the matter -- just don't keep doing it here because you are sounding like a whiney 16 year old girl whose boyfriend dumped her.

I don't know Robin or Reta from anyone, but
why should she give it a rest? Is this not the forum to air and or warn others about those who have done you wrong? It's obvious that she did quite a bit of work and then the lady cancelled, for whatever reason. Is Robin not due some sort of $ for her time? Or is Reta immune from this, because she was fair and honest in the past? I don't know how many of you have done recent signings for her, but I had a client who for years was as dependable as a Boy Scout leading an old lady across the street. Now though with the downturn, it is getting very hard for me to get a return call about a bit of money owed me. Perhaps the same has happened to this signing service.

Re: I don't know Robin or Reta from anyone, but
I don't think the problem is that she's warning others, I think the problem is that she's going on ad nauseum about it. There are 3 threads about it that she started on this page alone.

Re: I don't know Robin or Reta from anyone, but
I believe there were 5 threads in four days. That's why I said earlier "enough already". We get it.
From the constant ragging about it, I am now inclined to want to hear 'the other side of the story'.
