I did a signing for them (not to mention I will insist on a higher fee if they ever call me again- so many docs and fax backs!). Anyway-they want the Statement of Residency and Employment, I told them that I would not give out my SS# and Driver's License # in order to protect my identity. They said they would pay me for the one that I did but that they could not use me in the future without that information. Is anyone else having a lot of problems like this. Personally I won't be that upset if they don't call again, they don't want to pay for the hassle they put you through!

give them your EIN (you DO have an EIN don't you?)...and your DL WITHOUT the number on it (black it out or whatever). This "Statement of Residency and Employment" sounds like you are an EMPLOYEE and not an I.C. I would ask why this is required of me when I'm not an employee...jmho

I stopped doing those CWFS because of those fax backs and having to wait the next day for approvals.

Yes, I have an EIN and they have that on file, and that is exactly what I did with my Drivers lic. The form is for current and past addresses and current and past employment - like to do a credit report on me. Anyway, I am not giving them the info. They are a pain to work for so no great loss!

That info is used for a background check
SL requires one now. I'm surprised they didn't ask you to pay for it.

I got a call from them last week to do a RM closing with O/N docs for $50. When I told the scheduler my minimum fee was $XXX.00 she said "Oh, OK" and moved on to the next notary on her list. We did not discuss the fax-backs, but I would have required an additional $25 for this service. In the past, they have waived the fax-back requirement since they do not want to pay an additional fee. BTW, I have NEVER accepted a closing for them at the original fee offered. I always negotiate up to an acceptable fee for me, taking into consideration time of day as well as time of month and distance to the closing location.
