Sign ups

I find it interesting, now with the work load reduced (at least for some of us) how all of a sudden all these *Notary Sign Up*s have popped up. What about the one(?) that wants $600.00 for a ........ LIFETIME.!!! 1 $45.00 a month for a yr. wouldn't pay that off, considering other costs. I wonder, how many that have signed up with these outfits in the past, can say they got more jobs from them than from a "123" or NR.?

The real kicker is ...

... ">> Sign up now, for only $599 (for a skilled notary this is less than the price of two business assignments.)"

$600 is less than two business assignments? I don't know of anyone who consistently averages over $300 per signing, skilled or otherwise.

Re: The real kicker is ...

The NNA says that there are more notaries out there than the total of all the people in the US Armed Forces put together! Now if we could just think up some scheme to get them to "sign up" for something, even at $5 a head....Gee... let me think..............

PAW the "sign" up was not intended as a pun! I think your signs are a useful and great idea, and all who have them say they are first rate.

Re: The real kicker is ...

To clarify my last post a little more. I have, as I’m sure you all have been getting unsolicited email from assorted Yabos out there wanting me to “sign up” with them, as they have an amazing amount of new business from (one listed two loan companies that are now belly up) assorted places. Only $6.95 to “sign up”, or for “paperwork,” or “processing,” whatever. Or some even MORE ridiculous amount, for some equally ridiculous reason. These people ALL have only one agenda, go get what they can from you, and offer NOTHING in return. It’s a SCAM people! Newbie’s be alerted! NO legitimate Signing Company, Lender, Title Company, Bank, etc. requires a FEE to do business for, or with them. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! If you have too much money send it to the Dumb Friends League. Or something that is at least useful.

I have a trash can full of these

because that is exactly where they belong! If the major players can't get me assignments, how is the new one going to?
Oh wait, must be like the new signing agents who are going to come in here and tell us vets how we are doing everything wrong and they are going to take all our work from us.... but only after we train them to?????
; )

Re: The difference between the SS's

that can but won't and the one's that would but can't. (Did that make sense?) :

The SS's that solicit us, will take any SA' money and promise them work. Bellly up!

A top notch SS that we solicit, will interview and test the SA before they send them out to represent their client.

I had a phone interview recently and I was asked very pertinent signing agent questions. I'm sure this approach at building a data base separates the knowledgeable from the XXX grads who think they "know everything". All hiring entities should follow this lead.

Re: Dumb Friends League

That is the name of my new business. Please click on my link to profile, make all your checks for whatever amount you think is fair to the name presented, not screen name. I will be sure to pray for you as I receive your check(s), and for any other charity or purpose that you desire. Be certain to put check in my name as the bank is still processing Dumb Friends League.
Thank you in advance. Yours in disappointment -
