Techie help, please
Does anyone have any idea how to convert a .tif file to a .jpg or gif file? I tried just changing the extension and saving, but of course then I got, as you more knowledgable sorts of course know, a file with the name xxxxxxx.tif.gif.

Thanks, Andy. Tried it, got the following message:
"The folder isn't accessible. The folder may be located in an unavailable location, protected by a password, or the filename contains a / or \."
Any other suggestions?

Went there. Didn't know what I was looking for. Felt lost. Gave up. Found solace in a fudgesicle.

Found the program on the site suggested, downloaded it, converted .tif to .jpg, uploaded new photo to my profile, edited comments to fit new photo. Celebrated with a second fudgesicle, followed by a Bud lite.

Irfanview
I know I'm coming into this thread late, but I highly recommend IrfanView. It is FREE and will open just about any image file and convert it to almost any other type. It is a staple in my library.
