Thinkin' back to my notary course...long

I had taken my notary exam and 2 loan signing courses through a company in San Bernardino, CA. (I hesitate to post the name), and with their selling "point" they stated that if I signed up with them, they would get me (us) listed with a specific search engine in yahoo and google. Turns out the "search engine" listing was in Notary Rotary, and when I called them several times to verify if that was what they truly were talking about, I suggested to them that they need to be more specific on the nature of which they intend to market themselves by stating that they will list our names on specific search engines, because that certainly wasn't the case.

They failed to mention that it was a do-it-yourselfer, and it could be construed as a bait and switch technique, and I told them that just before they hung up on me. OOPS!

I was wondering if anyone else had actually experienced this. I am very happy with my experiences here at Notary Rotary and have learned so much by my perpetual indulgence here (with the search button), however, I was told about this forum by another notary/friend, NOT the Signing Course that glorifies over our involvement here. Anyway...it truly isn't that big of a deal to me, but just enough for me to ponder if anyone else had this happen.

By the way, I took the signing course twice (the second one at no charge) because we literally skimmed over the whole signing class the first time, because others were complaining that they wanted to go home...it was late. I'm sorry...I've got to get my money's worth!

That's crap, it's just crap and I would demand my money back. I'm soooo tired of these schemers, they need to be stopped.

>>>if I signed up with them, they would get me (us) listed with a specific search engine in yahoo and google...Turns out the "search engine" listing was in Notary Rotary...<<<

I have learned how to increase my web exposure using many listing services for FREE. I'm dealing with a guy now that has a local business directory and he and I have come to a barter arrangement that will teach me even more about how to rank in searches.

I cover page one of a google search (5-10) AFTER the paid sites. Paid sites list 1-4, I own the rest of the page when searching a notary in my town and I did it all for FREE. I also dominate page two. I'm not a geek and I don't get how this whole deal works, but I keep on keeping on with what I know works. My web guy told me about many more "secrets" that I intend on instituting for more web exposure. He also said that if anyone is charging you for submission services, they are ripping you off.

I have sooooo much work to do because of this dude's recommendations, I might not have time to work.....yeah right. I'll keep implementing what I know works and will add the dude's recommendations, as I have the time. What can I say, it works for me and I love the cash business.

Cheryl, I wish you luck and success.
