Title companies MUST read this board!

Earlier I took a signing from one touch closings, then (I KNOW DUMB!) looked em up here. Got some not so good responses about them.

Then, they call me and say "the loan has cancelled".

ok, fine (whew, got me outta having to chase my money)

THEN, a SS with a good rep here calls me for that signing Smile

put 2 and 2 together....

Re: Found on NotRot -- and I've a few say they read some of

my posts before calling. In other words, don't say anything that you don't mean, mean what you say, don't post your fee schedule if you plan to negotiate, and calm your fingers down before making an angry post.

How does that go? -- Better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Title Co's

Yes, Title companies DO read this board. A particular title co I dearly love informed me that there is a gal in the office whose job it is to read posts on just about every notary board there is.
Good post about being careful what you say, how you say it, and who you say it about. Smile

Re: Sign on billboard in Jacksonville

"A closed mouth gathers no foot". This is why I so seldom post. Usually someone else has answered the poster's question before I read it anyway. I have talked to some title company people that read here and other notary sites.

Why did you wait for them to call you to cancel? Why didn't you call and give back the signing once you found out it was a dud company?

I accepted a signing from 1 Touch on the 19th of July. I knew the name sounded familiar so I looked them up on NR only to discover there were many negative comments about them. I shot them back an e-mail stating what I had read and that I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt since I had not worked with them before, that I kept all information about title, lender, etc. and that If I did not receive payment as agreed upon I would not hesitate to contact these entities. I received a call from Vicki Ruiz the Office Manager stating that yes, there had been problems, but they felt they had been resolved. Time will tell and I'm keeping the faith. I was glad I did the signing as the borrower and I discovered we had a mutual friend which we both thought very highly of.

I didn't have the chance to call and decline before they called me to cancel.
