Upstate Capital...Beware

Update on this company - I signed up with them and did my first Rev. Mtge. application with them on 7/6/07 - their policy is they pay the Friday following the week they receive a completed package. Packages are to be submitted via USPS priority mail for which you're reimbursed.

Delivery of this particular package occurred on 7/9/07 at 9:00 a.m. (I paid the extra for delivery confirmation) - doing the math my check was to be cut on 7/20/07 ..

I'm still waiting - after numerous e-mails and telephone calls and being promised by Matt Snell that "all outstanding invoices would be paid by Friday, 8/24/07" I did not receive a check today so called again - received a call back from a Mike Wallace who says they'll pay me this week. When I stated that was unacceptable and it should be expedited or I'd be turning it over to an attorney the conversation was no longer "friendly" and he SAYS he'll send my check out and he's also going to remove me from the list as it's not "worth the hassle" ..told him he might as well take me off the list since there's no need to call me if they're not going to pay me. He hung up on me.

If anyone else signed up with them I hope I'm the exception to the rule - I think I understand now why they offer to pay so well - you can offer the world if you don't intend to live up to your agreements.

I work for them and I have not had a problem. Did you invoice ASAP Processing? I would have been patient. At this time when taking an application pays $200 and then the closing pays $200 and I get 4-6 a week, I would not mind if they paid net 30. But I have been paid in 7days, two weeks and less than 30 days. Better than I can say for others I have worked for.

Invoiced Upstate Capital - just like my instructions told me to - a bit later I received an e-mail that all invoices were to go through ASAP - I double checked my instructions and had done it correctly -

But don't you think the first time I called about it they would have corrected it and paid me? I've been getting the runaround for a month now. I enjoyed working for them too - everyone was really nice - up until this. And I'm assuming my area is saturated because I've gotten the one and that's it - would love to get 4-6 per week.

I know they had some people on vacation, not that payments should not go out.

Yes - and my understanding is Matt just had a baby...

Since I finally got a personal telephone call back, we'll see - if I get a check this week I may be inclined to agree it was just a severe oversight.
