Was there something a BO said that
  made you think twice?
I had one borrower tell me the paper she was signing was very cheap and thin. I sat there smiling but in my head saying "I spent $9.92 on this envirocopy paper because its recycled paper and I want to do my part in saving the environment" and then gave a sheepish laugh afterwards. Ummm what kind of paper did she expect to sign on? If I can get recycled paper cheaper than $9.92 I'd go and buy some.

I would have said "I know, it does not look that great but it's actually more expensive because I buy recycled paper. That's my way of helping the environment" And Toni, it's wonderful you are doing that. BTW Office depot will take back any HP cartridge and give you a free ream of recycled OD paper. Alas, letter size only.

Alas I do not have an hp printer. I wish they would give me a free ream of paper as I buy the brother...well Office Depot brand for my brother cartirdge. Office depot is getting expensive. Im going to go to Costco and Bjs for paper. But I love the envirocopy paper. If only I can find them cheaper. $9.92 is the price for legal size. I haent bought any letter size aper since I bought a few cases when they were on sale last year. Now I ran out so Im looking for some letter prices as well

Have you tried tonerkits.com ? I refill my brother for much much less than Office Depot. Once you get used to it, it's really not hard.

I paid $1.99 for letter and legal size from quill. For sure I am not going to spend over $9 for a ream of paper.

I haven't seen that price, other than the recent post someone (can't remember who, or I'd give credit where credit is due) made that included about five coupon codes... care to share?

I can't believe the things borrowers say. It doesn't matter how "cheap" the paper is. What matters is what it says and the signature. It could be written on a cocktail napkin, and with the language and the signature, it would still be binding.

One thing a borrower said 'made me think twice'. When she saw no one else was attending the closing other than me, she said 'are you just a notary'? I sweetly said 'JUST a notary?' and explained what my purpose was. She sheepishly said she didn't mean it to sound the way she said it.
