well they have said-the check will be sent out on monday, 4 weeks ago. Then they said the check was mailed then the check was on the top of the stack to be mailed then it was mailed then... it was still on the top of the stack to be mailed. they gave me a couple of different check #s. I wonder if they are on their way out?

well this is my plan....no check today when i get home, then i will contact the bbb. The lady at lia tried to also tell me that they we're waiting on the title co. to pay which happened to be lsi. i contacted them and they told me they paid within 10 days. i feel like everytime i talk to them (lia) they are more or less making fun of me. they think they are messing with a newbie. let me tell you, they dont know what i am capable of. it is about time we get rid of these slow payers and get on with the show.....stay on them for your money!!

Well I havent had a great expereince with them. This is what I stated on another notary forum on 6-11 about Lia:

I received a call from them last week. I really dont like this company. I accepted their assignment for my base fee. They tried to pay less. But they agreed to my base fee. but when I got the confirmation it was for the fee they tried to pay me. So I called them and was told they will send out a new confirmation with my base fee. Well I never recieved that confirmation after several calls and spoke to several different people. So I went to the signing anyways (which was stupid on my part) but the signing did not complete and I was told that they wanted to use me when they rescheduled. So they called me again when the new docs were drawn up. They sent out a new confirmation BUT with their fee not my base fee ( as agreed upon earlier). So the signing was supposed to take place Monday morning, friday is when I got the confirmation. So I called several times friday and was told the same thing that they would send out a new confirmation with my agreed upon fee. Sunday night Im still waiting for this new confirmation. SO I called and left a message telling them they need to find a new notary who would do it for thier fee. I even sent an email to the title company representative to tell them that I wont be doing the signing and that they need to contact LIA signing to request a new notary.

The signing was supposed to take place on Monday at 11am. At 10am. I have yet to hear from anyone about the signing so I assume they found someone. At 10.45 I get a call from the Title company saying they have not been assigned a new notary and that this signing must get done that day. So the Title rep said they would cancel the signing with LIA and directly contract with me in order to keep everything in order and that I have already received the docs. So the title company ask my fee I told them my fee and they agreed. 10 mins later I get a call from LIA saying they will send out a new confirmation with my agreed upon fee in 5 mins. I told the guy Im sorry but I am getting paid directly from the Title company since LIA kept giving me the run around with their confirmations.

Needless to say I wont be working with a company that cannot hold up their end of the agreement. I didnt intend for them to lose the signing but all of this could have been avoided if they just sent the confirmation with the right fee as they verbally agreed to.

Sorry, I had to get my attorney involved to get paid in April for a Jan
signing. They kept lying to me about having sent the check, then saying
it was on top of the stack TO send, then saying it was sent. I ewon't work
for them unless they prepay.
I "think" I linked these posts. Guess we'll see.

I was paid in July for the May closing. Did one 6/20 and still waiting for payment.
It seems there are more and more companies paying slower all the time. I'm hoping I do get monies owed from some of these that have given me "excuses" now.

I did one for them in March, finally got a check, dated May 2 on June 9th. They earned one of my FLAGS on their folder.

Jeffery, have you been paid as of now? I am almost 60 days out, and was referred to their website as well. They replied with an email stating they had to hire an outside A/P person and promised I would receive my payment before 10/15. Guess we'll see if it really happens.
