nokia
Just heard on the news Nokia is recalling many phones due to batteries overheating... since we all live and die by our cell phones, anyone with a Nokia, and they weren't specific on the model, may want to look into this; also, those with small kids and a house loaded with matel toys should look at their extensive recall list... you can go to www.foxbaltimorenews.com the news link they say to check out the entire recall list... or I am sure you can just go to any news site on line, and there will be a matel link to click on.

Get an OLD Nokia, no overheating, best reception on Verizon
If you have an OLD Nokia, this shouldn't be a problem. I think it's just the newer models that have this problem. I had an OLD Nokia 5180i candybar phone, very simple and easy to use, pull-up antenna. It got the best reception of any phone I've tried, which isn't to say it was perfect, but it did work in lots of backcountry areas where other phones wouldn't. Sadly, I lost it in Crossville, TN, a few weeks ago and haven't been able to find another one. I can find various old Nokia 51(xx) phones, but not the 5180i. And it must say Verizon on it, or it cannot be activated on my Verizon service. Right now I'm using a Casio VCast GzOne Type V which is working the best of any of the phones I've tried as a replacement, but it's still not as good as the old Nokia 5180i. I'm still getting some dropped calls and missed calls where the phone didn't even ring and one-bar or no service in areas where the Nokia 5180i would show 3 to 4 (out of 5) bars.
