Good afternoon all! Just wanted to spread some news> I used to work for service link and just found out they have laid off a few people and some are moving to the location where atm is.

I would suspect there are a lot of nervous nellies in Corapolis right now. If I worked for one of those firms, I wouldn't take a vacation right now

Remember, Service Link bought out ATM. They knew layoffs would be coming. Someone mentioned that Countrywide went bankrupt. I think they are a bit misunderstood.

I have a letter from ATM stating it was a merger, no mention of one acquiring the other

I have the same letter. That's what a merger is, one buys out the other. They might somehow combine the names but it's a buyout.

Not true. In a merger, a company joins with another company to form a new organization. There may be a new name to this new organization. The letter did not state that one company was acquiring the other company for cash or stock. Stay tuned.

Re: I will give you that - it wasn't specific
These two companies are entrepreneurial ventures from not long ago and they will move fast to layoff and consolidate. ATM is strong in technology, they charge other companies to use their systems, Service Link, I am not sure what they are strong in. LSI and ATM might have been a better fit, but LSI is part of a public company, Fidelity National. This is a fast merger because I think both are private companies.

In a Merger there is 2 or more companies Merging into 1. There is always a "survivor" Company. From the letter I received from ATM, it looks as though Service is the surviving Co
