Go Live! Does it work for you?
Okay, we're still trying to get to the bottom of why the live chat does not work for some members. As you are reading this, providing you are logged-in and you have a spare moment, can you please help us test the feature?
1) Click the Go Live! button. 2) Look at your screen. Do you see a plain gray box or do you see a chat window? 3) If you see a plain gray box, can you provide answers to the following questions? a. What Internet browser are you using? (Check Help|About and look for the name and version. Examples include Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.) b. What type of software firewall are you using, if any? (For example, ZoneAlarm.) c. What type of hardware firewall or Internet access device are you using? d. Who is your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? e. Finally, what do you see when you click the following link? http://talk.notaryrotary.com
Any help affected users can offer will be greatly appreciated.

It works fine for me. A. I'm using IE 7.0.5730.13 on a desktop PC with XP Professional OS B. I use AVG 7.5 Professional Edition C. Hardware firewall is Microsoft OS, and we are set up on a secure wireless network with a Belkin router D. ISP is our local phone company E. I see a white box labelled "Nickname" into which one would type one's nickname along with two clickable links, one being a bar labelled "Join Chat" and the other being the words "Advanced Options"

Sorry I forgot to add that I use Internet Explorer 7, AVG pro edition, microsoft OS, and ISP is Comcast Cable

This one doesn't work for me....everything else does.
"Authentication fails."
Suddenlink and I.E.7 on both places tried. Norton AV on one and Live OneCare on the other.

IE7 Vista home premium firewall RCA cable modem to Netgear RangeMax router WPN824 (connected with Ethernet not wireless) Time Warner cable When I click the link I get a dialog box asking for nickname. I enter either my login or alias and get "connect failed" in either case.

Finally, what do you see when you click the following link? http://talk.notaryrotary.com - as we speak I see a big grey box where I enter a nickname - I did and it's still connecting...connecting...connecting.

Works fine. Answering questions:
a. IE version7.0.5730.11 on Windows XP Pro b. 2008 Norton Symantec Internet Security c. D-Link router 10/100/1000 d. Everest e. Box with "nickname" - links to chat and advanced features (three more boxes on that link)

I get a black screen with a 1" x 1/2" gray box at the bottom. I am using Internet Explorer Version 6.0 I use PC Tools Spyware Doctor I am connect with a Webstar cable modem from Brighthouse Earthlink Gray box asking for Nickname and another button to "join chat"
